ForgeApp Source Licence (FSL-1.0) — DRAFT, not yet reviewed by a lawyer

This licence governs every codebase sold through auction.forgeapp.ae ("the Software"). By placing a bid you accept it. The winning bidder who pays in full is "the Licensee".

1. Grant

On receipt of full payment ForgeApp grants the Licensee an exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use, copy, modify, compile, host, deploy and create derivative works of the Software, and to run commercial products and services built on it.

2. Exclusivity

ForgeApp will not sell, license or give the Software, in the form delivered, to anyone else after the sale. ForgeApp may still reuse generic components, patterns, tooling, configuration and know-how that are not specific to the Software in other work.

3. Ownership

ForgeApp keeps copyright in the Software as delivered. The Licensee owns every modification and addition it makes. Nothing in this licence transfers ForgeApp's copyright.

4. Restrictions

The Licensee may not:

• sell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the Software, or a substantially similar version of it, as a template, boilerplate, starter kit or source-code product;
• remove copyright notices from files that carry them;
• use ForgeApp's name or marks to promote a product, other than a factual "built on a ForgeApp Weekend Challenge codebase" credit.

5. What is excluded

Fictional brand names, logos, placeholder photography and demo content used during the build are not licensed and must be replaced before public launch. Third-party packages keep their own licences.

6. Publicity

ForgeApp may keep the build recordings, demo video and public board online, and may show the project in its portfolio and social media, naming the Licensee only with written consent.

7. Delivery

Within 48 hours of payment ForgeApp transfers a private GitHub repository containing the Software, the README and the board export, to a GitHub account the Licensee names. Support is not included; ForgeApp packages are available separately.

8. Payment and failure to pay

The winning bidder pays the hammer price within 48 hours of the auction close via the payment link emailed to them. If payment is not received, the bid is void and ForgeApp may offer the Software to the next-highest bidder at that bidder's maximum bid.

9. Warranty and liability

The Software is delivered as-is, as shown in the demo video and the done/left list on the listing, without warranty of any kind. ForgeApp's total liability under this licence is limited to the amount paid.

10. Law

This licence is governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes go to the courts of Dubai.
